President Trump has had the courage to do what no other US President has done; officially declare that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. In fact, he is even in the planning stages of moving the US Embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.
The majority of world leaders and news broadcasters not only condemn this action by President Trump, they do not recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
In fact, these leaders and news broadcasters, most of whom are totally ignorant of G-d’s Word, want to see a ‘Two-State Solution’ with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.
In light of this, I ask this question regarding Israel: “Whose land is it anyway?”
Israel is a tiny strip of land; no larger than New Jersey in America, no larger than the Kruger National Park in South Africa. However so many peoples and nations try to tell the Israeli people what to do with Israel.
The Arabs lay claim to Israel; the British divided Israel (then Palestine); the Americans and the nations say: ‘divide it some more’; the nations say ‘stop building settlements’; others say ‘break down the security wall between Israel and the West Bank’ and still others say ‘give half of your ancient capital to your enemies’.
What these nations don’t realize is that by trying to tell Israel what to do, they are trying to tell G-d what to do.
You see Israel belongs to G-d; He calls Israel ‘My land’ - Joel 3:1-2: “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.”
In fact, the whole earth belongs to G-d.
Exodus 9:29: “So Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the Lord; the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, that you may know that the earth is the Lord’s.””
And 1 Corinthians 10:26 tells us: “For the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”
G-d owns the earth, every land and every city – including Israel and Jerusalem; and He can give Israel and Jerusalem to whomever He wants – and He doesn’t have to ask anyone’s permission!
So if Israel is G-d’s land, who has He given it to?
Let’s have a look at scripture: In Genesis 17:7, G-d speaking to Abraham, declares: “And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and Your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you, and to your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
And Genesis 17:18-19 makes it very clear that G-d’s covenant goes through Isaac and not Ishmael: “And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!” Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.””
So we see clearly from Genesis 17:7-8 that G-d gave “ALL the land of Canaan” to the Jewish people as an “EVERLASTING POSSESSION”.
He did not give it to the Arab nations, to the Palestinians, to Hamas or to Hezbollah and definitely not to the UN. He gave it to the Jewish people.
This is confirmed in Psalm 105:8-11 which declares: “He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan, as the allotment of your inheritance””.
And again, for anyone who would suggest that the promise of the land goes through the line of Ishmael, let me show you one other scripture:
Genesis 35:9-12: “Then God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Padan Aram, and blessed him. And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name.” So He called his name Israel. Also God said to him: “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall proceed from you, and kings shall come from your body. The land which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants after you I give this land.”
And the father of the Jewish people (Israel) is Israel (whose name was once Jacob).
Israel is G-d’s land, so stop telling Israel what to do with their land. By taking on Israel, you are taking on Almighty G-d Himself.
To the nations of the world I say: ‘Hands off Israel’, it belongs to G-d. He gave it to the Jewish people and He didn’t need your permission to do so.
You have nothing to do with Israel. In fact Psalm 33:10 declares that “the Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect”.
Israel will stand forever until that glorious day when the Messiah, Yeshua will return to Jerusalem, stand with His feet on the Mount of Olives, fight against the nations who come against Israel and Jerusalem and utterly destroy them.
Then Yeshua will set up His Kingdom in Jerusalem, His city; in Israel, His land – And He won’t consult the USA, the EU, the UN or any of the Arab and Muslim nations.
So, my advice to all the nations who would like to see a ‘Two-State Solution’ with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine is: Stop meddling with G-d’s Land…You are heading for Almighty G-d’s judgment.
If you meddle with His land, be prepared to face the consequences…the awful judgment of Almighty G-d – Joel 3:2: “I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.”
Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
So, in answer to my question: “Whose land is it anyway?” Israel is G-d’s land and He chose to give ALL the land of Israel to the Jewish people. And there is nothing you can do about it.
